Spring Inspiration: Balenciaga

The secret is out- Balenciaga is wild about and excels at printed apparel, too!  While checking out the brand's website (I have a City bag from the brand which is in wild need of replacement or repair), I fell in love with a few pieces from their women's collection.

Dries, Florals and Iceberg Wedges

Blink and you could have missed the beautiful summer-like weather in New York.  I spent last week celebrating it on a rooftop with friends and then mourning its sudden absence over the weekend by drowning my sorrows in wine, Hunger Games and Mad Men.

A visit to the Eleven Objects studios (beautiful Fall collars pictured above) cured me of any summer blahs I was feeling. 

I had a few lunches with some girlfriends and was feeling very taupe on tapue with a splash of florals (via new Topshop wedge shoes) and my new go-to bright pink YSL lipstick.

What we ate during the Mad Men premiere... retro show, retro food: chilled shrimp cocktail and crispy iceberg wedge salad!

Lately, I've noticed an explosion of floral prints.  From sweet Liberty prints to oversized, pop art florals, flower power is taking over fashion this Spring.

Shoe du Jour: Miu Miu Glitter Ballerinas

Lately I've been feeling flat shoes, grandma style.  After years of wearing towering heels- chunky, stiletto, platform and otherwise, there's something quite subversive and super pleasurable about wearing flats.  These glitter open toe ballerinas by Miu Miu look amazing and don't let you sacrifice style for comfort.
