Weekend in Columbus

Monday, May 7, 2012

The Mr. and I visited Columbus, Ohio over the weekend, and we found hidden pockets of charm, especially in the Short North and German Village neighborhoods.  We enjoyed strolling down High Street, sampling Jeni's Ice Cream (shoutout to the brand for being proactive about finding me on Twitter!) and visiting cool local boutiques such as Ladybird and Jinny, which carried an assortment of beloved brands one would normally expect to find in New York or Paris.

We also loved discovering some great vintage and antique shops, where I purchased some great costume jewelry.  I fell in love with but couldn't justify this Hermes typewriter (pictured above).

For anyone visiting the area, I would definitely recommend a stop at Lindey's for salad and prosecco al fresco.  Until next time, Columbus!
