Falling Hard for Reed Krakoff

Saturday, May 28, 2011

It's been a while since I made a major handbag purchase. So when I wandered into the Reed Krakoff boutique at Saks the other day, I didn't expect to fall so hard for the new label's glossy bags. Some of the bags, especially the slouchier styles, are like holding buttery slices of heaven in your hands.

Here are some of the styles I adore, and the bag I ultimately chose to purchase for work....

Clockwise from upper left: Tote I, Boxer I, Mini Shoulder Bag and Gym Bag I

The bag I ultimately chose - due to its structured shape (looooove) and its grainy texture: the Field I. Apparently, a favorite of a certain high powered magazine EIC!

For my next Reed Krakoff purchase, I am thinking about a soft mini shoulder bag or the tote in a bright blue color.... What are your thoughts about Reed Krakoff?

A friend of mine just got a Reed Krakoff bag and they are truly stunning in real life. I love the one you chose and definitely think the next one should be a smaller shoulder bag.
