I've been noticing a trend in New York Fashion Week invites: the e-vite and the e-RSVP. Sure, it's environmentally friendly and being able to confirm shows online is certainly very convenient... But there's nothing more evocative than a really beautiful or creative paper invitation to an event. The weight and feel of it in your hand. I was a bit late in requesting invitations for the shows this season, but I managed to receive a few beautiful ones in the mail recently. Among my favorites? Tess Giberson's newsprint foldout, Rachel Antonoff's sweet "paperback" invite with relevant event details highlighted on what resembles a torn page from a mystery novel and Doo.Ri's pure white invitation embossed on thick cardboard.
Yeah. I'm starting to get excited about Fashion Week again. Hard to believe it's only a week away! Will you be at any of the shows? Hope you enjoy your weekend! Here are a few links to keep you occupied...

People are starting to use this service called Formspring. It's a very simple service that allows people to ask each other questions (either logged in or anonymously) and the user can post their answers to these questions. Kind of creepy, but cool. Are you on Formspring?
Feel free to ask me a question and I'll answer it as honestly as possible.
So what are your big plans for the weekend?
