Shoe and Tell... On Video!

Sunday, January 10, 2010

Here's a little narrated slideshow of some favorite shoes from my closet. I'm waiting until my new camera arrives to do more dynamic video content.

Thanks for watching my last videocast and providing helpful comments! I just purchased a Kodak Zi8 with an external mic output, so that should help with some audio sync issues from the last one. Also, I'll be able to broadcast it all in HD!

I'd love to hear your thoughts about this one and suggestions for future topics. What would you like to see? Where would you like to go with me??

Ooh this was too much fun! It's always so neat to put a voice with a blogger's face!

Great video! The next step in your video blogging is definitely to prance around in the shoes for us to see what they're like in movement (as opposed to stills) ;-) I'm still bummed I missed the Kirkwood sample sale in London in Dec, and they are now heavily discounted in Paris, but I already blew my budget on other stuff... sigh.

Cool video! You have a very elegant, mature voice! It was very fun to get a peek into your shoe closet. My favs have got to be those statement zipper Top Shop ones.

I loved this! It was so much fun to listen to you. I especially loved seeing the way you incorporated the various shoes into outfits. My favorite pair were the Emma Cook for Topshop. It seems like you pick neutral colors, but with really interesting shapes and styles, which makes them wearable but also edgy! I'd love to see how the Chanels look on.

As for future videos... hmmm. It would be nice to have a 'sneak peek' into your closet or something similar!

This was pretty awesome. Loved hearing the stories behind the shoes I've seen you wear. I think this is a really good feature and you should do it for other accessories/favorites. Also, Shoe envy!

I have been DYING to watch your shoe and tell video and I hate myself that it has taken me almost a week to watch it! But it was everything I hoped for (and more!) Those Nicholas Kirkwood shoes are amazing, as are your Office UK wedges! Also love your statement shoes, the zipper edge on those Emma Cook for Topshop shoes are stunning. Great story behind your Chanel ballerina shoes too! I can't wait for Part 2!! I still have so many of your blog posts to catch up on, I briefly scanned through the posts from your new beauty and accessories editor and they look really good, lots of detail and very interesting. I need to get some sleep but I'll be back! I'm so behind on my blog reading and comments, SIGH :(

I really like the videos.

I cant wait for part two of Shoe and tell. I love shoes and boots!

I along with others, would love to see a closet series, yours, and maybe some others, who would let you video them. I am constantly trying to get mine in a logical order, which is challenging when you have little space.
