New Project: I'm in a Band, Haven't You Heard?

original source here

Happy Friday to you! First, I want to note that I finished a few changes to my sidebar, shifted some things around, added things and more significantly, added a new FAQ. Let me know what you think of the changes.

Depite the title of this post, I'm not really in a band; Nicole of le mode du jour tagged me recently to do a random band album cover generator, and I was excited to relive my once grand dreams of musical group splendor. True story: I was in a band for about a week when I first moved to New York. I played keyboard and backup vocals. I broke with the group due to musical differences, and, let's face it-- I wanted to be the lead singer, anyway! These days, I get my music on at karaoke places...

Band Name: Ashuelot (which is a river in New Hampshire)
Name of Album: Smiling, I'll Consider It

Album Cover Tag Rules

1 – Go to “wikipedia.” Hit “random… Read More”or click
The first random wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2 – Go to “Random quotations”or click
The last four or five words of the very last quote of the page is the title of your first album.

3 – Go to flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”or click
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

4 – Use photoshop or similar to put it all together.

- Do a Random Album Cover
- Blog it
- Include the instructions in blog post
- Tag at least 5 people and tweet/blog comment them that they’ve been tagged

*****I'm going to blatantly break the rules and tag all of you. I'd like to do a collection of album covers in an upcoming post. Do the tag, then either link to me or send me an email with the link to your post by Sunday January 17th.****

Oooh - I'm putting mine together now and posting it tomorrow. I'll be sure to send you a link. As for your blatant rule-breaking, would you mind terribly if I blatantly copied your idea to put together a readers' album post?!?

The new 'do looks great - I especially love the FAQ - what a great idea!!!

You're so damn fun. Oh and also, I forgot to tell you, but when I saw your video I thought you had an amazing voice girl. As in, you should be working on tv!!!

How fun! D, your talent even extends to music?! Amazing. I played the piano for four years back in the day but am a horrid singer.

I love the sidebar additions. And the 'email me' pic of you and your hubs is too cute.

xo, Becs

How fun! I couldn't wait to do my own:

Love the FAQ! If I wasn't already a part of the editorial board I would be dying to be!

Hey D!
That's cool that you were in a band briefly when you first moved to New York. You should've been the lead singer to begin with, but that's their loss. I love your album cover! Esp the name of it haha "smiling, I'll consider it." that's awesome! I love the random picture you got as well.
