"Pretty" doesn't have to be an anathema in fashion. Pastels and florals can be edgy while still retaining their feminine allure. That's precisely the mood for the S/S '10 collection of German womenswear designer
Erika Hendrix: retro feminine with a modern naughty wink; the 30 piece collection entitled "
Baby, you're the ginchiest!" takes visual cues from '50s era rock-n-roll and pin-up girls. The lookbook photos may amp up the vintage factor, but you can imagine pieces by the German designer, whose eponymous label launched in 2005, mixing well with other pieces from your wardrobe. Here are some of my favorite images from her lookbook... I'm especially loving the pastel blue leopard print sweater, peach poodle skirt and the bold dark floral print on her floaty, mostly cotton pieces.
What do you think? How would you style these pieces?

This shoot is gorgeous. Elegant, yet subtle and fun!
Gorgeous wear and photographs D♥. I love the contrast of soft pastel with dark almost goth like attire and make up.
Mmm edgy florals, you know I love it!
I love the pink flouncy skirt!
lol I haven't heard the term "ginchi" used in awhile! I love the pin-up girl influence on this collection. She has some really gorgeous pieces. The third photo with the black top and taupe trousers looks comfy yet chic. Great profile D!
The last photo is stunning.
btw, I think you should get those grey suede Acne wedges! I love the contrast of the wedge against the grey suede, what's not to love? (don't mind my enabling for vicarious shopping purposes hehe)

LOVE the top right skirt - pink with just the right amount of fullness. its a tutu without being a tutu :)
Love the styling, its sooo perfect, its classy and girlie, but still grown-up. I love it.
my gosh i love this! especially that peach poodle skirt.
Oooh these are amazing. I particularly like that pink flared skirt. It's to die for. I'm going to be looking out for one of those for myself.
i really like the peach/pink double layered skirt in the top picture. i like the pink and gray combo in the pic, but i'd try it with a silver top or smtg metallic to give it that edge you mentioned!
