Designer Profile: Belle Sauvage

Tuesday, November 10, 2009

Belle Sauvage is an emerging London-based womenswear label that was established in 2007 by Virginia Ferreira and Christian Neuman. Neuman’s eye-catching digital prints and Ferreira’s imaginative silhouettes are quickly bringing the label much-deserved attention; the designers showed their collection on the catwalk for the first time at London Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2010. Bright kaleidoscopic prints unified their S/S '10 collection consisting mostly of lean dresses with angular accents, short hemlines and strong shoulders. Despite their high art concept, many of their pieces are affordable and carried at shops such as Pixie Market (you can buy pieces from A/W 09 there). Bravo, Belle!

this is a very pretty collection . love all the geometric prints and cuts of the dresses (and the bobbed hair too!!)
finally something fresh from the oven that is still wearable . new designers either tend to go with the trend or go against it in a very rebellion way that the clothing is no longer wearable .

I love the patterns of the garments shown and it seems as if they don't have a pattern they have some sort of awesome geometric contemporary feel to them. Thanks for sharing, I just started following your blog and am truly inspired.:)

The geometric shapes and prints on this collection are awesome! They remind me of a Jackson Pollack. I would wear that last blue dress in a heartbeat.
