Wishlist Wednesday: LA Designers

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

For this Wishlist Wednesday, my gorgeous blogging pal, Liz from It's Unbeweavable selected some amazing items from independent designers who are showing this month in Los Angeles for Fashion Week! By the time most of you read this, I should be walking around Bangkok in a daze (having just landed in the country on vacation). Thanks so much for reading!

Wishlist Wednesday: LA Designers
Text by Liz of It's Unbeweavable

Hey dolls!

It's Liz from It's Unbeweavable, and I am so honored D asked me to guest post for her while she's on her amazing trip! Immediately I jumped on Wishlist Wednesday, because well...there seems to be a never ending list of things I WISH were in my closet, and it's one of my favorite things to blog about. I have stuck to Dream Sequin's theme of highlighting emerging and independent designers and boutiques while adding my own L.A twist, as right now it is Fashion Week L.A (or basically Fashion Month L.A.) Everything on this Wishlist is from a designer showing this month in my city! (And D's hometown too!)

{(Faux) Marabou Tube Mini Dress $720.00 also available in Black}

{Asymmetrical Silk Chiffon Dress $210.00}

{Reversible Vest with Veggie Fur. $167.00}

{Double Breasted Cape Jacket in Slate $297.00}

Yotam Soloman
My new obsession. Sidenote-most items are made to order...love!
{The Monroe Dress. $320. Shown belted}

{Catalina Tiered Dress $520}

{Tarama Dress $380. Leather Straps...badass.}

{The Rhodes Shoe. $440. These are so interesting, amazing with jeans or dresses...}

I could go on...and on...but I won't. I hope you enjoyed the peek into L.A Fashion Month, and writing this just reminded me of why I am so glad we still have a Fashion Week out here! YAY L.A! :) Thanks for having me, D! Love you lady, I hope you're having a BADASS time!

XOXO,
Liz

Thank you, Liz! Looking at these amazing designs just makes me homesick for LA and I can't wait to return over Christmas break. Please please check out Liz's amazing blog, It's Unbeweavable for amazing fashion, beauty and more. Love you, girl!

While Liz posted this amazing wishlist for me today, I also had a chance to post something for a "Wishful Wednesday" on one of my new favorite blogs, Under the Sheets-shhh. It will be posting today- so go check it out if you can!

**Readers: Thank you so much for visiting my blog while I am away in Thailand! Tomorrow, I will be posting a profile of a new accessories designer written by my stylish friend Brigadeiro, which I'm very excited about! Look for a full schedule of guest posts on the left sidebar. Stay tuned!***

Best Wishlist Wednesday yet. I have to say. Thanks so much for doing this Liz :) You're so badass that I had to log in during my layover in Tokyo to say this over comments. LOL.

kelly: Longest travel day ever. But I'm looking forward to it so much :) Thanks for your comment!

Niki B: The cape is indeed amazing.

MG: Fabulush indeed! ;)

Brigadeiro: I was thinking Margiela when I saw those shoes. I believe you can check purchasing info on Solomon's website, but I know you could find them on shopflick.com before!

Diana: I wonder how comfy they would be?

Gabby: Thanks girl :)

Dustjacket Attic: Thanks so much for your comment! I love the dresses, too!
