For Spring 2010, London-based womenswear label
s u w h a takes us on a journey of ladylike, tailored elegance for a collection aptly named "bon voyage!" Designer
Suwha Hong (
whom we interviewed earlier this year on Dream Sequins) gave us a little peek of sleek jackets and coats, separates and hats in her signature feminine silhouette which we can expect next year. Standouts for Spring include a sweet pale yellow jacket with cap sleeves and matching box-pleated skirt, a beautiful cropped capelet, bronze metallic jacket and navy trench with playful, oversized buttons. I'm also head over heels in love with her oversized, floppy hat. All classic pieces worthy of a glam voyage abroad, complete with a full set of steamer trunks...
New York friends: consider this an official invitation to come with me to her trunkshow next week! Email me for details... I'm dying to try on that metallic jacket, floppy hat and well... most of everything posted here. Even if you can't make her trunkshow, many pieces from her Autumn/Winter '09 collection are available online. And I think you'll be pleasantly surprised by the prices. For more information and her online shop (she does ship worldwide), check out: http://suwhahong.com.

I've just looked at her website and I've found a few things that I really liked; though must admit that navy blue shirt dress from SS10 is still my favourite. Thanks for this post!
Oh that first look, the skirt and little jacket, is so incredibly beautiful and chic. I love it. I am going to check her website in a second and the suit will most likely be expensive and then I'll die of a broken heart because I can't have it. Oh, sooooooooooooooo beautiful....

Thanks for the nice comment- hope your week is going well too :)
Such a fun collection. Perfect title, it feels like you're going away to Paris for the weekend.
Stop trying to break me down into twitttttering. I thought having 10 people on my back all the time was hard enough but now it's like 50 and as unsusceptible as I am to peer pressure, I'm losing my mind over it! haha
um ... that little cape with the buttons ... yum.
Now this is what I call ladylike done right. So often it ends up being a jumble of "wannabe" looks and items trying to be the real deal.
Love this. All of it.
Thanks for sharing
