Ode to a House of Holland Pantone-inspired Chubby
by Dream Sequins

Oh, Chubby.

Oh, Chubby.

If only
I could give you
the life in New York
you deserve.

If only
I could resist your
grey stripes of splendor.

If only
I felt less chubby
in a chubby.

If only
my wallet was...

Holy Sh*t, Batman!

I was literally just replying to your comment from last night (the first I've looked at a computer since yesterday morning) and was about to come to your blog to comment there, too, when the next comment popped in! We are literally on the same (virtual) page!

Re: the chubby, that's funny, I didn't know that was the word for it. I've seen quite a bit of it this week here, too. I love House of Holland, always associate HH with being Agyness Deyn's best friend, roomate, she's his muse, etc. Am I getting that right? Is he the guy?

I have a 'chubby' from years and years ago. I'm going to post on it one of these days as there's a cute little story. And yes: I always feel rather chubby in it : )

So funny: literally crossed paths. Thank you, D, I love your comments!!! Will be adding it to the post, it's a very good point.

Wish you were here xoxo

p.s. Hi again D, just shutting down but before I do, wanted to say I just saw your comment about the top girl on the Sartorialist's double shot (with the sequins). Her name is Rhiannon & I met her & her friend Leila the first day, and have been shooting them all week.

They're on my blog now, and I've just discovered them on the Sartorialists's. So weird as I just shot him the other day! & then I see your comment and you like the top sequin girl. Teeny, tiny world!!

LOL at your poem!!! Yes, I'm in the mood for one too. I want fur, leopard, and leather this fall. Does that make me a bad person?

drollgirl said...

ahahhaha!!!! you just made me laugh out loud!

i am chubby! my wallet is not chubby!

so this speaks to me on every level.

love it!

p.s. i actually love murray from flight of the conchords, too. i don't want to DO him, but his character is fan-farking-tastic. but not nearly as cute as bret (brit) or gemaine. :)

Chubby's look chubby on me..there is no way they would look chubby on you you're tall & thin!

(I also don't wear real fur/hair) BUT...I did buy my first faux fur coat and am uber excited about it!!!

The secret is to repeat this to yourself 7 times for 7 nights before going to sleep and on the 7th day, a chubby surprise will await you... TRUST me, this works each time! ;-)
