Twitter-views: Guess Who's Coming to Dinner?

Sunday, July 12, 2009

This week's Twitter-view question: "If you could bring any living, famous person as a date to a dinner party-- who would you pick?"

Most of my friends on Twitter kept their answers neat, while others drew up long lists of people (enough in fact, to merit buffet service) and still others decided to call on ghosts of celebrities past. A lot of interesting answers here... I'd love to be a fly on the wall at this dinner party!

@LuxuryTravelMom Simon Cowell, he can even insult my food, I'd find it hot

Vincent Gallo. Always been curious about that one. Buffalo 66 is one of my faves!

Ha! John Galliano and Alexander McQueen are on top of my list, but I want sepearet dinners with each one of them!!!

Fab question! A few weeks ago, MK's twitter was totally spammed with her drunken slurs, I'd so want her and a bottle of tequila at a dinner party, she'd be such a lout! xoxo

this is definitely a hard question

Ivanka's an excellent choice! She's stylish, intelligent, and business-savvy. My choice would be the guys who steal my heart: James Franco, Jason Wade (from Lifehouse), and Ryan Phillipe.

D, I love your twitter-views. So much fun to read! Love the Dolly Parton answer.. ha. I'd go with my ultimate crush - Ryan Gosling - and then a close second would be the Olsens so I could beg them to check out their closet for anything they'd want to 'donate' to me. :)

xo, Becs

It's so interesting to read who people admire. I have to agree with Karl Lagerfeld but he's been so bitchy lately (more so than usual) that I think he would have to be relegated to role of Diet Coke butler. Surely he's learned a thing or two from watching his own?

@hanako66 rainn wilson and paul rudd for comic relief. marc jacobs 'cause I know we would be best friends:) YESSSSSSSSSSSS!

Wow - I love that! I had to laugh out loud about the Dolly Parton answer as well! So hilarious only to imagine ;)
I guess you know who would be my very first choice, right? Oh man, if that could be possible I would give all my stuff away - even it was for one single minute....
My second choice would be Martin Margiela.
Lots of huggies to you!

Wow-- thanks for your amazing answers, everyone :D

Aline: I've only read one book by Paul Auster, but I'm sure he would provide some interesting conversation at a dinner party...

Liz: You picked some good ones!

Carlotta: Ooh. He's very handsome, yes.

Lily G: Haha-- I think Johnny Depp makes me swoon no matter what character he picks for himself.

A little Princess: I would love to chat with the Olsen twins. MK is one hot mess. emphasis on hot; emphasis on mess. ;)

thefatandskinnyonfashion: I know. It was hard for me to pick. So I just didn't. ;)

wreckedstellar: Yeha, James Franco is pretty hot. I wouldn't mind sharing a table with him :)

stylewithbenefits: You know, Ryan Gosling doesn't get as much love as he deserves....

Frankie: Simon Pegg would be funny at dinner. He looks like he's an intelligent dude, also. As most comic actors tend to be...

Hanako66: thanks for playing ;) And send your hubs a peace sign for me.

laurakitty: Thanks :)

SwanDiamondRose: Awww "all the people who i talk to online who i have never met. it would be a mile long dining table." That's awesome.

Denise: Hm. Diet Coke butler. I don't think he'd appreciate that one.

Kristin: LOL. Hanako66 picked some good ones. I love Rainn Wilson, tooo!

modediktat: Now you've got me wondering... Well Martin Margiela. That would be funny if he actually showed up as your dinner date. Get a picture for us ;)
