Weekend Links: Fashionable Cause Edition

above: looks from Margi Kent Fall 2009 show

Not bad for an ultra rainy week in New York! One of my highlights was attending the launch of designer Margi Kent's womenswear collection at the Hosfelt Gallery in Chelsea. Best known for styling Stevie Nicks, Kent brought her bohemian rock sensibilities to design a full high end collection for Fall 2009, ranging from denim and jackets to glam, barely there minidresses. She was exploring a lot of ideas in this collection-- including, for the finale, two wedding dresses. A little editing would be great for her next show, because her forte seems to be romantic, edgy eveningwear.

I am looking forward to some fun times this week, including some outfit posts, showroom visits (hurray for Fall previews) and a lunch with Jeremy Irons. Yes, that Jeremy Irons:

stylewithbenefits: Thanks for your comment! My schedule is not very exciting at all. Haha! But I am loving all the sales happening right now...

E: Yeah. About Jeremy Irons. Perhaps it's misleading to say that I had lunch with him per se. :) It was a luncheon and he was a speaker. Heee hee.

Hanh: Thanks for stopping by mine! Love your blog, darling.

SOS!: Nanny blog is brilliant. Everyone must visit.

London Darling: So happy you approve! I was lucky enough to visit your city for London Fashion Week and fell in love all over again... We're so close!

Fashion Personality: Thanks for the comment. You have a nice weekend, too!
