Some days, you just don't feel like getting out of bed.
But what if your bed...
... was part of some installation at a museum?
And on top of that: an installation on opening night?
Would you pretend to lie very still, while artsy-fartsy people wearing black hovered around you?
The images above are not part of some Williamsburg party aftermath.
They are snaps from an opening at the Gen Y-driven triennial entitled "The Generational: Younger Than Jesus" at New Museum tonight.
Lots of Campari cocktails and video art.
It's worth checking out.
This being a triennial of artists under the age of 33, of course they would have a blog dedicated to the exhibits: http://www.newmuseum.org/ytj/
Update: Here's a little Flickr stream of other photos from the exhibit: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=Younger+Than+Jesus
Here's what I wore tonight.
When I got home to take a picture of my outfit, I realized today was the last day of my style challenge week of not wearing black.
I'm doing a happy jig. The ban on black has been lifted at last!
