Behind the Blog: Modelizing

The wildly popular blog Modelizing, a window-shopper's delight, comes from a professional fashion photographer who uses her spare time to capture the elaborate retail displays of New York. She is becoming known for her very opinionated analysis of fashion as she is for breathtaking shots of displays at outlets such as Barneys New York, Chanel and Yves Saint Laurent. Five Questions for My Favorite Bloggers

Who are you?

A girl with a camera and an obsession. Sometimes I go by my government name, sometimes I go by the Modelizer.

Where are you?

The Upper East Side of Manhattan.

What is the concept behind your blog?

I document store windows mainly on 5th and Madison avenue. Sometimes I venture off to the Meatpacking District and SoHo. I've been shooting almost weekly for the past year and 7 months as the windows change.

When you are not blogging, what else do you enjoy doing?

Aside from endlessly walking around Manhattan? I shoot actual fashion and cover events/concerts. I'm forever glued to a camera, rough life--I know.

More importantly… what are you wearing?

Right now I'm really obsessed with my Norma Kamali cardigan, J Brand skinny jeans in ink [or Theory black skinny pants], a Hooters tee shirt [I have two from NYC, one from Miami, Switzerland, and San Fran], and my Ralph Lauren black blazer. I can't even begin with shoes because I've honestly gone in the same outfit two days in a row but changed my shoes. Supra for sneakers, Taryn Rose/Ferragamo for flats, Stuart Weitzman/Cole Haan for boots.
